Durham County Council
Description
Durham County Council is the Strategic Planning Authority, the Strategic Economic Development body for the County, and the operator of many key services, including transport and education. The County Council has identified four economic “super-projects” across County Durham in terms of economic development. This City centre project is one of the four. The others include NETPark, a Science Park in Sedgefield; Eastgate, a renewable energy village; and Beamish as a focus for regeneration and investment.
